 The
Soldier Hollow yurt is a destination for Soldier Hollow’s new sleigh
rides, which are offered in partnership with Rocky
Mountain Outfitters. Both public and private trips are available,
ranging from gourmet dinners to hearty chili meals.
A yurt is a circular tent, traditionally
made out of felt or skins on a framework of poles used by the nomads
of Mongolia. At Soldier Hollow, the yurt is a comfortable way station
where people can rest, warm-up, listen to music and catch their
breath before returning to the Olympic trail system. The yurt is
secluded yet accessible.
