The Olympic Sport of Biathlon – which combines
skiing with shooting – is now a year around activity at Soldier
Hollow. In the winter, the Olympic Biathlon Experience at Soldier
Hollow combines cross country skiing or snowshoeing with use of the
Olympic shooting range. In the summer, we switch equipment –
providing a great experience ‘on foot’ or by mountain bike. In each
case, it is a fun and challenging test at the Olympic venue at
Soldier Hollow.

Range!
Each participant is provided with four clips of five
shots each, so there will be plenty of opportunity to learn and
improve.
Highly accurate rifles, the very same rifles used
during the Olympic and Paralympic Games, will be provided.
 Don’t
forget your camera! While shooting at
the
Olympic range, everyone will be provided with a bib to wear that
was actually used during the 2002 Olympic Games. In addition, we’ve
placed an official awards podium at the biathlon range to celebrate
your biathlon experience.! All participants receive a certificate
suitable for framing.
No experience is necessary.
Visitors have the choice of three programs
called Bronze, Silver and Gold:
Bronze - Range instruction; ammunition
and rifle use at Paralympic range (10 meters with air rifles) $19
for adults and $9 for youth (age 6-17) 1-hour session, reservations
suggested
Silver - Range instruction; ammunition
and rifle use at Paralympic range (10 meters with air rifles);
Full day use of mountain bikes and helmets or ski equipment
depending on the season); Fun team or individual
relay competition $49 for adults and $29 for youth (age 6-17)
2-hour session, reservations suggested
Gold - Safety clinic; Range instruction;
ammunition and rife use at Olympic range (.22 caliber) Use of Olympic
rifles; Full day use of mountain bikes and helmets or ski
equipment depending on the season);
Timed competition (team or individual); $119 for adults and $79
for youth (minimum age is 12); 2-hour session, reservations required
Special rates are available for youth groups of 20 or more people.
